Site of the longest-standing holy sanctuary in Tyrol, the Val di Non Valley has a complex history. In this cultural melting-pot, Italian/Mediterranean and Tyrolean/Germanic traditions have co-existed for centuries, with a mountainous landscape covered in thick forests and gorges, – nurtured by abundant sunshine. An idyllic setting for realigning the body and soul.

Housed in what used to be a pilgrims' hostel, our renovated Hotel Gasthof Zum Hirschen has a sauna as well as a relaxation room and sun deck. The Spa is centred on self-regeneration through relaxation and introspection, at a slow-paced rhythm. All this, thanks to the forces of Nature. Like the plants and flowers, forests and mountain pastures in spring – you come here to be reborn and blossom once again! In front of our establishment is the meditation park, surrounded by lush forests and the gushing waters of our salubrious mountain springs that help to fortify the body and mind.

Individual wellness treatments support your regeneration during your time out at Zum Hirschen Hotel. Whether it's a wrap with hay flowers, an alkaline foot bath for detoxification or various peelings during a sauna session - we use the power of alpine herbs to support our physical well-being.

Even today, there are still those who follow the pilgrim’s trail to the "Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde" (Our Lady in the Forest), the oldest Christian sanctuary in Tyrol. Somewhat like these religious devotees, our guests come to the Gasthof zum Hirschen hotel to rejuvenate and regenerate. Most of all, they appreciate the quiet, contemplative atmosphere and all-round benefits of sojourning with us. At our Nature Spa, the stresses of traffic and pollutants affecting our daily lives are left far behind and, in the evening sky, all you see are twinkling stars.

With its spectacular views, our Panoramic Fir Sauna is a treat for the eyes, and also doubles as a classic hot Finnish sauna or a soothing Bio-Sauna with mountain herbs from the surrounding meadows, producing an especially invigorating and refreshing effect. We believe a sauna should be a relaxing, sensorial experience and an ambience for wellness and spirituality. So, when our hotel was renovated, we created a scented fir sauna with a capacity for up to six persons.

Congenial and open, yet cosy and intimate: that's our Relaxation Room. On the sun deck we’ve carefully arranged the loungers to create an ideal ambience where our guests can fully relax. We also provide seasonal fruits from the region and freshly-squeezed juices, which are a valuable source of vitamins. We also serve herbal mountain teas and healthy snacks.

While in summer, our guests enjoy sunbathing in this "open-roof living room", in the colder months they can still satisfy their vitamin D needs under the sun. Throughout the year, when the sun sets over the mountains, the sky above our Spa becomes a vast planetarium. From our serene vantage-point in the great outdoors, the sky, stars and planets (and at times, the Milky Way) look down in all their splendour.

For centuries, mountain people have known the benefits of alpine herbs, blossoms, roots and other gifts that the surrounding nature has to offer in each season. Whether they are relaxing, calming or detoxifying, whether they stimulate the metabolism or invigorate - A herb grows for everything.

For your personal relaxation, we offer the following natural treatments for self-application: the (liver)haywrap with hayflowers and selected herbs, which can also be applied as a relaxation pack. Sauna-goers can intensify the experience with our bio-peeling packages with spruce, honey or herbs accompanied by a selected herbal tea blend to support the internal effect. The alkaline footbath with nettle helps to detoxify and relax the body, after fisical activity in the outdoors.

Each unit is designed as a self-treatment and can be booked in advance or at the reception.
